Our office is on Kent's East Hill, on the Kent-Kangley Road (SR-516) corridor:
- From Renton: SR-167 south, or 108th/116th Ave SE south through the Benson Hill and East Hill area
- From Auburn: SR-167 north, or Auburn Way North toward Kent, then east on Kent-Kangley
- From Federal Way: SR-516 (Kent-Des Moines Road) east through downtown Kent, or I-5 to SR-516

If you are testing because an employer sent you, especially for a random, post-accident or reasonable-suspicion test, go promptly. For those tests the employer expects you to report for testing right away.
What to bring
- A current government-issued photo ID (driver's license, CDL, state ID or passport)
- Your employer's name and any paperwork or instructions they gave you
- The reason for the test, such as pre-employment, random, post-accident, return-to-duty or follow-up
- For a DOT test, confirmation from your employer that the test is DOT-regulated, and under which agency (for example FMCSA for trucking)
You do not need to bring a urine sample, medication bottles or prior results. If the laboratory reports a non-negative result, the Medical Review Officer (MRO) will contact you directly to discuss any legitimate medical explanation.
DOT and non-DOT testing for local employers
The Kent Valley and neighboring cities have many distribution centers, warehouses, construction companies and transportation employers. Their testing needs usually fall into one of two categories:
- DOT testing for employees in safety-sensitive transportation roles, such as CDL drivers for FMCSA-regulated carriers. These tests follow 49 CFR Part 40 procedures and use a federal drug testing custody and control form. See DOT drug testing in Kent.

Do I need an appointment for a drug test?
Not during walk-in hours, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Appointments are available after 2:00 PM and can be booked online.
Can I get a DOT test without an employer?
DOT tests are performed for a DOT-regulated employer's testing program. Owner-operators can act as their own employer and use a consortium. If you are an individual who simply needs a test, ask about non-DOT testing.
How long does a DOT urine collection take?
Most collections take about 15 to 30 minutes. If you cannot provide enough urine, the DOT "shy bladder" procedure can take up to 3 hours, and leaving early can be treated as a refusal, so plan your time accordingly.
